Abstract: The Arab world, with its diverse population and complex history, struggles to embrace pluralism amid sociopolitical challenges. Attempts at inclusive Arab identity often yield to exclusive elitism, hindering progress and fostering authoritarian governance. Despite the potential highlighted by the 2011 uprisings, societies have reverted to familiar dynamics of repression and division. However, hope remains in recognizing diversity, promoting inclusive governance, and fostering accountability to successfully build more resilient, inclusive societies.
